GULF OF OROSEI
Between Cala Ginepro and Cala Liberotto
The Gulf of Orosei, located in the northeastern coastal stretch of the island and in the heart of Baronia, is one of the most longed-for tourist destination of the whole Sardinia, thanks to its immense shoreline and nature trails, that make it the ideal place for anyone who loves nature, sport and wants to discover more about the history and the most ancient traditions of Sardinia.
Several breath-taking landscapes, that attract tourists and inhabitants, belong to this territory , for example Cala Ginepro and Cala Liberotto beach, that border the Oasis of Bidderosa, and are worth visiting. Both of them are part of the district of Orosei, a flourishing seaside town that gives the name to the whole Gulf.
Cala Ginepro beach stands close to a beautiful forest of maritime pine trees, junipers and mastic trees. The crystal clear seawater, the fine sand, the cliffs of pink granite that emerge from the water, creating a unique scenery of colours and emotions, are what distinguish this beach from all the others. Cala Liberotto beach is located in the proximity to a pond and looks like a small bay with exotic colours, with several small paths surrounded by nature. This area with its restaurants and shops with Sardinian products offers more attractions at night.
